My Kiwi Innovator Speech

 Kia ora everyone 

With our Kiwi Innovator, I have done my speech. It is what I am going to say when I am going to go up to the Shark Tank and present my sea salt and lime popcorn.  

Here is my speech:

Hi my name is Neve,

I am the owner of Poppalious!

Poppalious specialises in popcorn. You might be asking yourself, what is so good about popcorn? Well I am here today to introduce you to a new flavour sensation! Not just your standard butter or caramel - but something refreshing and sure to tingle your taste buds! 

Introducing Sea Salt and Lime popcorn!  It's just popcorn, powdered lime and crushed sea salt. 

Poppalious, it’s delicious - who is up for a taste test?

On my last blog I was talking about my Kiwi Innovators right? I have done more I now have a presentation, my logo, my business card and a poster. Now I have thought of a flavor it is sea salt and lime. In the weekends I am going to try out my popcorn I hope it tastes good! If you had to think of a popcorn flavor what would it be?

Spectacular Speeches!

 Kia ora everyone

Today we were doing speech final and I got in it. I was very very nervous but I did it. It was about Covid 19 for kids and how we can stay safe. I printed it out then I cut them into paragraph and practice like 20 times and then I did it and now I kinda want to go to Belfast competition. Have you done a speech this year?

Mouldy Bread

Last term we were learning about food so we were in teams and we had some bread to wait for it to grow mould on it. I wanted to post it but I didn't have time but now I do. 

My bread was the mouldiest it was yuck . My group was Me , Sophie, Emerson and Chloe.

In cyber smart the Korimako Hub year 5s were learning to be a up-stander. A up-stander is someone who doesn't just stand there do nothing.  A up-stander stops the person who is being mean.

My Experiments Is Finished!

 Hi everyone if you remember in my last blog? I was doing my experiment and now I am finished.

Here is my full experiment with 7 days. Now my lemon's got a bit of mould (you can see the mould on day 7). Even though I thought the vinegar would grow mould because it went brown so quick, it didn't have mould. So out of vinegar, salt water, lemon juice and apple what do you think would grow mould first?

My Apple Experiment

 Hi everyone 

In our hub we are doing an apple experiment.  

Our ingredients are vinegar, salt water, apple and lemon juice. So we have 4 containers we cut our apple up into quarters and put each piece of apple in the containers. Then you put some vinegar in one of the containers just above the apple. And do the same with the lemon juice. With the salt water you boil some water and put it in one of the containers and put 1 table spoon of salt in the hot water container. So in the last container you just have an apple in it. And you are done, but you need to put it in a safe place like the garage or a garden shed so it doesn't make the house smell. When you find a safe place you  leave it for a week. I made a slide that you can look at. It says what it will look like on day 1, 3, 5 and 7. I am up to day 3 so far. Have you done an experiment at home or at school?

Hi everyone it is lockdown again in New Zealand and now we have to do meetings with our teacher and students. I am with Miss Roberts and in my group we are doing writing and we highlight capital letters, full stops, onomatopoeia, punctuation and describing words in our writing. The New Term At Literacy

 Hi everyone 

Today I will be talking about the new term at literacy. 

So in the morning we do literacy and now I am with Miss Roberts. We start with 10 minutes free writing and in our writing this week we have to put smiles in it. We write about the picture on the tv. But most of all I love literacy. Here is one of the story I did. Do you like Literacy?

CraZy HocKey

 Kia Ora everyone,  today I will be talking about hockey! So at school we are doing winter sport and for winter sport I am doing hockey. On the 21st of May, I think after I find out that I got in the team, me and my mum  went to get me a hockey stick, ball, socks, mouth guard and shin pads. On the 10th of June off we go to Rawhiti. It was my first day completing against other schools. In the first game  my team got two goals and the second game my team got one. It was a good game. Even more before we left we all got chocolate bars, and we had four players of the day, and most of all it was fun and I had a great time.
